ROME: Organisers presented 10 works of Iranian cinema to Italian audiences during a three-day showcase that included the world premiere of “Billboard”.
Iranian Cinema Days brought feature films, shorts and a documentary to Casa del Cinema. Visiting directors joined audiences for post-screening discussions.
“Billboard” featured in the final-day programs, followed by the social short “Clavier”. Meanwhile, “Raha”, which had previously received recognition at the Rome Film Festival, closed the showcase.
Beyond the screenings, Iran’s embassy in Italy described stronger links with Italian film distributors and exhibitors as an event goal.
The program therefore included meetings with Italian distribution companies. These sessions sought opportunities for cooperation involving Iranian filmmakers, distributors and television networks.

For the opening program, audiences watched the short “Umbrella”, followed by “Orange Forest” and “Natour Dasht”, also known as “Guardian of the Field”.
On the second day, “Isatis” explored the history and culture of Yazd, its city and surrounding region. Organisers also screened the shorts “Narrator” and “Captain Torres” before concluding with “God of War”.

All films screened with subtitles, while the selection covered different genres and formats. Several participating films are scheduled for screenings in other Italian cities in the coming days, with their directors attending.
