Caretaker Local Government Minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad’s investigations into appropriating government land in various departments closed as soon as he was appointed minister.
Anti-Corruption Punjab was conducting an investigation against Punjab Local Government Minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad, based on a complaint by the former project coordinator of his private university, Hasnain Sattar, regarding his inclusion of government land valued at billions of rupees in his university.
After five months of investigation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau reportedly redesigned the investigation. Nonetheless, after he became a provincial minister, inquiries against him began to be closed one by one.
Journalist Tariq Habib wrote that this is the reality of the Punjab caretaker cabinet ministers, in which the provincial minister, after taking the oath of office, has begun closing the investigations against him, and these investigation files are being placed in cold storage one by one.
