Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has approved a summary  to include the names of the cricket players suspended by the PCB in the recent PSL spot-fixing.

The suspended player whose name included in ECL are Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hasan. A

According to a representative of the Interior Ministry, Nisar had been briefed that Khalid Latif and Mohammad Irfan have already recorded their statements with the FIA.

The rest of the players will record their statements by tomorrow.

Earlier, Chaudhry Nisar directed Federal Investigation Agency to investigate the bookies who were also involved in the PSL spot-fixing scandal.

Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, fellow members of the Islamabad United team that took part in the tournament, were also provisionally suspended and charged last month over meeting a man suspected of being linked to an international betting syndicate.

Former Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed was also provisionally suspended on charges of being a “go between” in the spot-fixing incident. Jamshed and another unnamed person were arrested in Britain last month but were bailed until April.

The PCB, which has formed a three-member tribunal under retired judge Asghar Haider to probe the allegations, said the investigation would continue.
