Inter Milan secured their 21st Serie A title with a 2-0 win over Parma on Sunday, clinching the Scudetto with three matches remaining in the season.
The win, which followed Napoli’s 0-0 draw at Como on Saturday, gave Inter an insurmountable 12-point lead over second-placed Napoli. Marcus Thuram scored the opening goal in first-half stoppage time, finishing off a through ball from Piotr Zielinski. Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed the victory 10 minutes before the final whistle, tapping in a cross from Lautaro Martinez.
Inter, who only needed a point to confirm the title, dominated the match but struggled to capitalise on their dominance in the first half. Despite limited chances, they controlled play and sealed their triumph with the second goal.
Lautaro Martinez expressed pride in the team’s resilience, stating, “It was not easy to start again after a season where we lost all the competitions we were in right at the end. But I’m very happy with this achievement.”

The win marks a significant redemption for Inter after last season’s disappointing near-miss, where they lost the Serie A title on the final day and were defeated in the Champions League final.
Celebrations erupted in Milan, with fireworks and flares lighting up the Piazza del Duomo as thousands of fans gathered in the streets. The Nerazzurri now look forward to the Coppa Italia final against Lazio on May 13, where they will aim to secure a domestic double.
