Instagram profile grid reordering is now available, allowing users to move photos and videos on their profiles outside chronological order.
The feature was announced on June 8 and gives users more creative control over how their profiles appear.
Users can access the option by going to their profile and long-pressing any photo or video on the grid until a menu appears.
They must then select “Reorder grid” from the menu. The option appears alongside tools such as “Pin to main grid” and “Archive.”
Instagram then opens an editing window where users can move posts. They can long-press any post and drag it to a new position.
The changes save instantly and become visible to anyone who visits the profile.

Pinned posts remain fixed at the top even after a user reorders the rest of the profile grid.
Meta said the update can help users highlight a new phase, resurface older content, refresh their profile design or showcase key projects.
