Indianapolis, United States: Felix Rosenqvist won the Indy 500 in the closest finish on May 24, beating David Malukas by 0.0233 seconds at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 set a race record with 70 official lead changes. Yahoo Sports also reported that Rosenqvist’s margin broke the event’s closest-finish mark.

FOX Sports said Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart reacted after the race on its post-race broadcast with host Chris Myers. The segment focused on Rosenqvist’s final-lap move and the record finish.
AP reported that Rosenqvist passed Malukas late after a final restart set up the last-lap sprint. The win gave Rosenqvist his first Indianapolis 500 victory and Meyer Shank Racing another Indy triumph.

The result beat the previous record from 1992, when Al Unser Jr. defeated Scott Goodyear by 0.043 seconds. The NTT IndyCar Series next races at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on May 31.
