The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday approved request of Imran Khan for the examination of record of NA-122, Lahore where National Assembly Speaker Ayyaz Sadiq defeated PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
PTI chairman challenged the results on general election 2013 and had requested ECP for the verification of votes.
In a meeting chaired by acting Chief Election Commissioner (AECP) Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali decided to grant access of NA-122’s record to Imran Khan.
In the meeting commission also decided to set up modern record rooms in Islamabad and provinces and directed provincial election commissioners to start work on the project.
