Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan, once again criticized former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, saying he stabbed him in the back and that his “set-up” is still active in the establishment to stop the PTI from returning to power.
PTI chairman told reporters that Bajwa “stabbed me in the back,” but he now sympathizes with him.
Imran Khan said the ex-chief wasn’t interested in corruption accountability, leading to tense relations, “I felt Gen Bajwa’s attitude change after he was given an extension, and I was slowly told to give up on accountability,”
Khan claimed the former army chief hired ex-envoy Hussain Haqqani to lobby for him and promote Bajwa in Washington.
Imran Khan said Bajwa called him a “playboy” during their last meeting. “I replied, ‘Yes, I was a playboy.'” He said Pakistan launched the campaign to prove him “anti-American” and fed Donald Lu’s comments.
