IK vows to bring masses onto the streets and force Nawaz to resign

Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan (IK) lambasted the Nawaz led government in Sialkot jalsa on Friday and vowed to force campaign on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign. 

IK urged the nation to join him to protest on the streets till Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was not held accountable.

Referring to the budget FY 2016-17 said that taxes were imposed on the masses in order to return the debt that the government borrowed. Khan also said that the tax money being collected was not being spent on the welfare of the public and that every Pakistani child was in debt of Rs 110,000.

Imran also called for ending corruption and said that it was the only way to bring about a positive change in the country.

Citing the example of his own leadership during his cricketing days. “When corruption will decline in our country, investment will increase by itself,” he said. “When I used to play cricket, match-fixing never took place in the team,”

Imran stated that the Indian government took care of its farmers and provided them various  benefits. He taunted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by saying that the premier could not establish a single hospital in the country since the past thirty years where he could be treated.

“If corruption is eliminated, we can establish several hospitals like Shaukat Khanum,” he said.

Imran said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lied at the floor of the house at the National Assembly. He further said that Khawaja Asif was lying to save Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Earlier today in Pasrur, the PTI chief had also slammed Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N-led government. The PTI chief reminded the public how the incumbent Prime Minister had once promised he would make Sialkot like Paris.

“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should travel on his own expense for his treatment,” he said. “On one hand, the public is bearing the brunt of inflation while on the other hand, the government is imposing taxes,” he added.

Imran said that a nation whose people robbed it of its wealth and shifted their gains abroad, could never progress. He also placed blame on the government for the difficulties farmers had to encounter.

“PML-N government has committed the economic murder of farmers,” he said. Imran urged the people to vote for PTI’s candidate Chaudhry Maqbool.

Imran’s scathing criticism comes ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country on Saturday evening. The Pakistani Premier had been convalescing in London for more than a month after his open-heart surgery. (PhotoNews / The News)
