Inspector General of Sindh Police Iqbal Mehmood took notice of the serious charge leveled by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) against the provincial police for operating death squad to victimize party workers.
According to the spokesman of the Sindh police, the IG ordered an instant inquiry into the allegation regarding the presence of death squad in the police department, vowing to take strict action in case he finds the charge valid.
The police chief asserted he would not spare the policemen in case they were found to substantiate their involvement in such squads.
