Pakistan has announced the dates and location for the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024. The event will occur at the Karachi Expo Center from November 19 to 22.

The event, organized by the Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO) under the Ministry of Defence and Defence Production, aims to enhance the international visibility of Pakistan’s defense industry.

DEPO Director General Maj Gen Asad Nawaz Khan stated, “IDEAS is a significant regional event, organized biennially in Pakistan. Since its inception in 2000, IDEAS has become a global key meeting place for defence exhibitors, delegates, and policymakers.”

He added, “IDEAS represents a continuous success story and serves as a platform for promoting global peace, stability, and prosperity. It facilitates connections among international manufacturers and suppliers to foster defense cooperation through joint ventures, outsourcing, and collaborative projects.”

IDEAS 2024 will focus on defense production and exports, in line with the priorities set by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). As reported by state-run PTV, it will offer a venue for international partners to demonstrate their capabilities.

At the last IDEAS in 2022, 532 companies from 38 countries displayed their defense technologies.

The previous edition also saw participation from 350 delegates from 57 countries, including high-level delegations led by defense ministers, secretaries, and heads of armed forces.
