Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed Hogwarts Legacy 2, listing a second instalment of the successful open-world action RPG among its upcoming projects.
The company disclosed the sequel in a letter to shareholders rather than through a trailer or standalone announcement. Warner Bros. Discovery has not revealed an official title, release date, story or other specific details.
The confirmation follows the commercial success of the original “Hogwarts Legacy,” which placed players inside an open-world recreation of Hogwarts and its surrounding wizarding world.
Discussion has already turned toward features players want from the sequel. Community posts call for deeper role-playing mechanics, including a morality and reputation system that reacts to the use of dark magic. Players have also suggested branching storylines and greater differences between Hogwarts houses.
Other requests include expanded student activities, more interaction with professors and companions, and playable Quidditch.
Quidditch was unavailable in the original game, with the sport removed from the school year as part of the game’s storyline. Warner Bros. later released “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” as a separate title.

Warner Bros. Discovery has not announced when it will reveal the first trailer or additional details for the “Hogwarts Legacy” sequel.
