HBO’s ambitious Harry Potter series, a decade-spanning take on J.K. Rowling’s iconic books, is nailing its stars.
On March 7, 2025, it was announced that Janet McTeer has been chosen to play Minerva McGonagall, while Paapa Essiedu is on the verge of finalizing his role as Severus Snape. These two characters are essential to the upcoming Harry Potter reboot cast. The show is expected to premiere in late 2026 or early 2027.
