Main culprit of Model Town incident Gullu Butt on Thursday filed a bail plea in Lahore High Court (LHC)
In the petition, Gullu Butt has pleaded that he was sentenced to 11 years of rigorous imprisonment against minor crimes.
Gullu Butt highlighted that Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has already acquitted him in murder charges.
In his bail plea, he has contended that the jail sentence by the ATC was against justice and pleaded for suspension of the sentence and be released on bail.
Gullu Butt, who is considered as a prominent activist of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was charged for smashing vehicles and spreading terror in the public place.
Butt earned wrath of different segments of society when he was captured live by TV channels smashing public property during a clash between Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) activists and police in Model Town on June 17 that claimed over 20 lives, most of them the PAT members.
