Many tourists flock to Malaysia annually, attracted by its dynamic cities, stunning beaches, dense rainforests, and historical landmarks. Securing a visit visa is essential for Pakistani nationals.
Pakistani citizens should apply for an electronic visa (eVisa), which is valid for six months from the approval date and permits a 30-day stay within that period.
Required Documents:
- Pakistani passport (valid for at least six months)
- Digital copy of the passport’s biographical page
- Recent passport-sized photo
- Proof of accommodation in Malaysia
- Return flight ticket
- Evidence of adequate funds for the stay
eVisa Fees for Pakistanis:
- The eVisa fee is 20 Malaysian Ringgit (about Rs1,185 as of September 3, 2024).
- A visa processing fee of 105 Ringgit plus service charges also applies.

Application Process:
- Access the official website of the Malaysian Immigration Department.
- Select “I am New Apply” and enter personal details such as name, nationality, and passport number.
- Complete the online application.
- The eVisa is usually processed within one to three business days. After processing, travellers can download and print their visas for entry into Malaysia.
