Rockstar Games still lists the GTA 6 release date as November 19, 2026, after opening PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S pre-orders on June 25.
Rockstar Games said pre-orders began at midnight local time through digital storefronts and selected retailers. Take-Two Interactive priced the standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99.
Take-Two Interactive reiterated the November launch in its latest financial results, saying “Grand Theft Auto VI” was expected to help drive record operating performance during fiscal 2027.
January speculation about another delay followed comments from Bloomberg Games reporter Jason Schreier, who said development had not reached “content complete” status. Schreier later said reports treating those comments as a delay prediction were a “complete misunderstanding,” according to GameSpot.
