Microsoft has made GPT-6 Sol and Luna generally available in Microsoft Foundry, expanding its GPT-6 lineup alongside Astra for production AI agents and enterprise workloads.
Microsoft said GPT-6 Sol targets general-purpose production use, including enterprise agents, coding, long-context analysis and multi-step workflows that use tools.
Luna is the smaller, faster model aimed at high-volume tasks such as extraction, summarisation, request routing and routine customer interactions.
GPT-6 Astra remains Microsoft’s recommended option for demanding work involving advanced reasoning, software engineering and computer use.
Microsoft said customers should evaluate models by workload rather than apply the same model to every task.
