Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman informed the Lahore High Court (LHC) that Pervaiz Elahi had won the confidence of 186 Punjab Assembly members and was reinstated as chief minister.
Justices Abid Aziz Shaikh, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Asim Hafeez, and Muzamil Akhtar Shabir heard the case.
Elahi’s lawyer, Barrister Ali Zafar, informed the bench that his client had today received the Punjab Assembly’s vote of confidence.
The Punjab government’s counsel also confirmed the chief minister’s vote of confidence to the bench.
Justice Abid asked if the Punjab governor was satisfied with the vote of confidence.
The governor’s lawyer asked the bench to record assembly sessions.
