Gisele Bundchen is reportedly upset following the Netflix broadcast of “The Roast of Tom Brady” last Sunday. At this Los Angeles event hosted by Kevin Hart, Tom Brady was told jokes by former teammates, coaches, and comedians.
Brady handled the barbs well, although he confronted comedian Jeff Ross after a joke about Robert Kraft, the New England Patriots owner. Kraft had previously faced accusations related to soliciting sexual services. Brady’s public reaction to this joke was stern, warning Ross with a strongly worded “Don’t say that again.”
However, many jokes during the evening targeted Bundchen and her relationship with Brady, including references to her current partner, jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. Reports from the US suggest Bundchen was particularly displeased that Brady laughed off jokes about her and their family while defending Kraft. She reportedly sees this as another instance of Brady prioritizing football over family.
Brady and Bundchen divorced in 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The split followed Brady’s decision to extend his football career into his 40s despite winning the Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in 2021. After that victory, Bundchen famously questioned him, “What more do you need to prove?” Yet Brady played another season before the couple officially filed for divorce.
