Former Spain defender Gerard Piqué watched singer Shakira perform during the first FIFA World Cup final halftime show while attending Spain’s 1-0 victory over Argentina with their sons in New Jersey.
Piqué arrived at New York New Jersey Stadium with Milan and Sasha before the July 19 final. Videos of the family entering the crowd and later watching the show circulated across social media.
Footage recorded from the stands showed the children enjoying Shakira’s performance while Piqué watched from his seat. The clip attracted attention because the former couple attended one of the biggest events in their respective professional worlds with their children.

Shakira joined Burna Boy to perform the tournament song “Dai Dai.” Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Chris Martin and other artists also appeared during the 11-minute production, the first official halftime show staged at a FIFA World Cup final.

Piqué attended the match to support Spain, who defeated Argentina through an extra-time goal and secured their second World Cup title. Shakira later congratulated Spain publicly after the final.
