The Rawalpindi police has issued orders for removing more than one loudspeaker from all mosques and Imambargahs, in district Rawalpindi.
As per Punjab, Sound System Regulation Ordinance 2015 installation of only loudspeaker is allowed in a mosque or imambargah. Loudspeaker can be used only for Azaan, Jummat ul Mubarak, Eids, announcement for some ones death or some missing person.
Police will initiate legal proceedings under Punjab Sound System Regulation Ordinance, if more than one loudspeaker is found installed in any mosque or Imambargah.
