ERQUY, France: A France grandstand collapse injured 16 people at Bienassis Castle on August 18, shortly before a historical light-and-sound show began.
About 100 people were on the stand when it gave way Tuesday evening, according to Ici, citing the local prefecture.
Emergency crews treated most of the injured at the scene. However, five people went to Saint-Brieuc Hospital for further treatment.

The show focused on Anne of Brittany, the former Duchess of Brittany and Queen of France. Meanwhile, authorities sent 54 firefighters, medical teams and gendarmes to the castle after the collapse.
The Saint-Brieuc prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the cause of the incident. The exact time of the collapse has not been confirmed, and the cause of the structure’s failure has not been determined.
