At least three suspected militants were gunned down in a late night shootout with the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) while a terrorist below himself by detonating a suicide bombing vest.
According to initial details, following a credible intelligence report, the police and LAEs raided at a suspected terrorist hideout near Hamza Marriage Hall in Imamia Colony. The militants opened fire on the police and LAEs. In a retaliatory firing, one of the terrorists blew himself up injuring at least three of his comrades. The terrorists had been living in that hideaway for the last one month.
All the extremist fighters are in their early-to-mid twenties.
An official told media that, three terrorists were killed and two were captured wounded.
The police also claimed to have seized a large cache of arms, ammo, and explosives including 20 kilograms of explosive material, four suicide vests, 12 rocket launchers, more than a dozen AK-47s, handguns, near 300 rounds, etc from the hideout,”
Police also found found a laptop, banned hate literature, and maps of various strategic locations.
