A Fort Worth shooting injured two women, a child and a police officer Saturday night near where a Stop 6 Day community celebration had ended, police said.
Fort Worth Police Department officers responded around 9:10 p.m. to a shooting call in the 5200 block of East Rosedale.
Police said the scheduled Stop 6 Day gathering at Stop Six Park was winding down. However, investigators said they had no reason to believe the shooting and the event were related.
Officer Bradley Perez said a suspect dressed in all black came from between an apartment community and nearby businesses.
He said the person fired toward several people before running toward the apartment area. Police said a woman was shot in the head and remained in critical condition at a hospital.
A child was grazed in the head by a bullet and taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
An older woman was shot in the hip and had injuries that were not life-threatening.
