Pakistan batsman Mohammad Hafeez has come out in support of the appointment of Shahid Afridi as the national T20 captain.
The former national T20 captain, who is presently leading the Lahore Lions team in the Champions League in India, said he had no regrets over the appointment of Afridi.
“When I decided to step down as the national T20 captain this year I took the decision after much thought and I don’t regret that decision at all”, Hafeez told the media.
“I am happy for Afridi and it will be my endeavor that as senior players I would like to work with him to see Pakistan do well in the coming matches”, he added.
