Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir resolved to fight “foreign-sponsored and supported” hostile groups’ attempts to destabilize Balochistan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief emphasized operational readiness while interacting with troops stationed in the province to combat instability.

General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, visited the Balochistan regions of Khuzdar and Basima.

COAS was briefed on the current security situation, the operational readiness of the formation, and actions taken to guarantee a calm and secure environment.

During his interaction with the troops, the Chief of Army Staff highlighted the importance of maintaining optimal operational preparedness to counter attempts by foreign-sponsored and -supported hostile elements to destabilize Balochistan.

COAS noted that we are aware of the sinister plans of Pakistan’s external adversaries to disrupt the hard-won peace in Balochistan. The Chief of Army Staff stated that the Army’s deployment and operations are centered on Balochistan to build an enabling environment for people-centered socioeconomic development.

Commander of the Quetta Corps, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor, greeted the COAS upon arrival.
