HALLANDALE BEACH, Florida: A Florida Rolex theft case has led to a felony charge against 32-year-old Lynda Mae Crouse after a man said his $98,400 watch disappeared following a night out.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Crouse met the man at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach on April 12. The pair exchanged Instagram accounts before he later arranged an Uber to bring her to his residence.
Police said the two had several alcoholic drinks. The man later told investigators he suddenly felt “extremely tired” before Crouse left the residence.
He said he fell asleep within minutes and discovered several hours later that his gold 40 mm diamond-set Rolex Presidential was missing.
The man later provided police with an appraisal valuing the watch at $98,400 and identified Crouse in a photo lineup, according to the affidavit.

Authorities arrested Crouse on September 11, 2026, and took her to Broward County Jail. They charged her with second-degree grand theft. She left jail the following day after posting a $2,500 bond.
Investigators also allege Crouse used a similar method in at least four other Miami-Dade County cases. In one separate City of Miami investigation, toxicology testing detected zolpidem, a prescription sleep medication, in another alleged victim.
