Skipper Angelo Mathews smashed 89 off 85 balls and Mahela Jayawardene made 63
Wahab Riaz three wickets for 50.
The match was reduced to 45 overs after a rain halted play for 30 minutes in the sixth over of the Sri Lankan innings.
The remaining two one-dayers will be played in Colombo on August 27 and Dambulla on August 30
Sohaib Maqsood scored 88 and Fawad Alam 62.
