The FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket prices have stunned fans, with resale listings for the final reaching as high as $2.3 million per ticket ahead of the July 19 showdown at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, United States.

With just weeks to go before kickoff, demand for football’s biggest match appears to be driving unprecedented price spikes across secondary markets.

Resale listings for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final have surged to extreme levels, with some tickets priced at $2.3 million. Even the cheapest seats are listed at around $11,000, reflecting intense demand, limited availability and a growing resale market shaped by global sports pricing trends.

Final Match Tickets Reach Record Levels

The most expensive listings in the FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket prices market include four premium seats being sold for millions on resale platforms.

At the lower end, tickets for upper-tier seating behind the goal are priced near $11,000, offering a stark contrast to original sale prices.

The final, scheduled for July 19, is less than two months away, and FIFA has reopened ticket sales for all 104 matches in the tournament. This late-stage demand has intensified competition for seats, particularly for the final, which traditionally draws global attention.

FIFA Allows Resale With Transaction Fees

FIFA does not restrict ticket resales but regulates the process through its official system.

The organisation charges a 15 per cent fee on both buyers and sellers for resale transactions, aligning its model with practices used in major sports and entertainment events worldwide.

In a statement, FIFA said its ticketing approach reflects “standard ticket market practices” and allows price adjustments to ensure fair market value. The governing body also noted that revenue generated from ticket sales is reinvested into football development across its 211 member associations.

The financial scale of the 2026 tournament is expected to surpass previous editions significantly. FIFA earned approximately $686 million in ticket sales during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Prices for the 2026 final appear significantly higher than past tournaments, including Qatar 2022. Increased demand, a larger global audience and evolving resale markets have contributed to the surge.

As the tournament draws closer, FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket prices could continue to rise, especially for the final, as remaining tickets become scarce and global demand peaks.
