Actor Feroze Khan has issued a long-awaited apology to Muneeb Butt for inadvertently disclosing the personal information of several other actors, including Butt’s wife Aiman Khan.
Khan, who played the lead role in Khuda aur Mohabbat, had made public and private information, such as mobile phone numbers and addresses of various celebrities, who had criticized him for being an abusive partner.
Outrage followed from the celebrities concerned, including Aiman and Minal, who expressed how their privacy had been violated. Aiman wrote a detailed note about how her privacy had been compromised and how mentally taxing it was.
Following this, Muneeb filed a complaint against Khan at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). However, after a months-long conflict, the two actors ended their differences, as Feroze apologized, saying that he “never intended that anyone’s peace be disrupted.” Khan knew the significance of privacy and expressed remorse “if any of my colleagues had to go through any inconvenience.”
Butt announced that he had dropped the charges against Khan, stating that causing them pain and mental distress was not Khan’s intention; it was a mistake.
Muneeb urged people to respect Alizey and Feroze’s privacy and avoid commenting since their case was under trial and was their “private matter.” Muneeb also shared a photo with Feroze and said they have decided to resolve the matter between them per their elders’ advice and will maintain a “mutual relationship of respect and love” in the future.
Last year in October, after Khan’s ex-wife, Alizey Sultan Khan, provided evidence of domestic violence during their marriage, many actors supported her, including Aiman Khan and Minal Khan, who criticized Feroze and supported Alizey.
