The Fast & Furious family is officially returning to the big screen, with Universal Pictures confirming the title and release date of the franchise’s next instalment.
The upcoming sequel, titled Fast Forever, is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on March 17, 2028. The film follows Fast X, which was released in 2023 and directed by Louis Leterrier.
Vin Diesel Marks the Announcement
Franchise star Vin Diesel, who portrays Dominic Toretto, marked the announcement with an emotional tribute on social media. Diesel shared a photograph of himself with the late co-star Paul Walker, who famously played Brian O’Conner.
Walker died in November 2013 during the production of Furious 7. His remaining scenes were completed using a combination of CGI, archival footage, and on-set support from his brothers, Caleb Walker and Cody Walker.
