RAWALPINDI, Punjab: A sessions court sentenced Farrukh Khokhar and two co-accused to life imprisonment on Monday in the 2022 murder of Majid Satti.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Afshan Ijaz Sufi announced the verdict at the Rawalpindi judicial complex. The court acquitted co-accused Waseem after finding insufficient evidence against him.
Police arrested Khokhar immediately after the judgment, inside the courtroom, because he had remained on bail throughout the trial. Authorities had brought the other two convicted defendants from jail for the hearing.

Sadiqabad police registered the murder case on August 23, 2022, after Majid Satti was killed in Rawalpindi’s Sixth Road area. Earlier court records show the case involved charges under murder, abetment and unlawful assembly provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Khokhar was previously arrested after the Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench cancelled his pre-arrest bail in January 2023. A lower court later granted him post-arrest bail while the murder trial continued.
The convictions can be challenged before the Lahore High Court under Pakistan’s criminal appeals process.
