Senator Faisal Vawda stated that former Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI), Faiz Hameed, will likely be indicted soon.

During the ARY News program “Aitraaz Hai,” Vawda linked the imminent news about Faiz Hameed to Imran Khan’s call for civil disobedience scheduled for December 14. He suggested that developments regarding Hameed might emerge even before that date.

Vawda argued that holding influential figures like Hameed accountable would establish a positive precedent. He noted that if Hameed were to implicate Imran Khan, it could severely impact the PTI founder.

He also entertained the possibility of Imran Khan facing a military court trial and wouldn’t be surprised if Hameed faced court-martial and punishment.

Vawda claimed that Imran Khan’s Twitter account is now managed by someone else and noted that figures like Qasim Suri and Hammad Azhar are distancing themselves from Khan, with Suri reportedly labelling him “insane.”

In his remarks, Vawda praised Bilawal Bhutto for his political maturity and unblemished reputation despite criticisms against his party. He highlighted Bilawal’s qualifications for the prime minister’s role, citing his family’s democratic sacrifices.

Vawda raised concerns about Bushra Bibi’s issuance of a Rs10 million cheque, alleging links to questionable transactions during Khan’s tenure.

He concluded by reaffirming his support for Imran Khan, emphasizing that Khan himself had not engaged in corruption, though others had misused his name for corrupt activities.

On November 28, 2024, Vawda had also predicted a potential ban on PTI, following the government’s commitment to strictly penalize PTI workers detained during the November 24 protest in Islamabad.
