Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to field first against Lahore Qalandars at Dubai Cricket Stadium in UAE earlier today during PSL’s inaugural tournament.

“When Gayle is playing against you, it is always better to bat second,” Malik said after sending Qalanders into bat.

“ You will know what to chase. In this format, we don’t change much. I will stick to the same tactic I have been using for Sialkot.

“We have Simmons, Vince, Shakib and Ravi Bopara as our overseas players.”

Lahore Qalandars skipper Azhar Ali said that it was a tough pitch yesterday. “We wanted to bowl first as well. I don’t think we go with a total in mind,” he said.

Squads:
Karachi Kings:

Nauman Anwar, LMP Simmons, JM Vince, Shoaib Malik*, Shakib Al Hasan, RS Bopara, Imad Wasim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Sohail Tanvir, Saifullah Bangash†, Mohammad Amir, Bilawal Bhatti, Sohail Khan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Usama Mir, Mir Hamza, TM Dilshan, Fawad Alam

Lahore Qalandars:

Azhar Ali*, CH Gayle, CS Delport, Mohammad Rizwan(wk), Sohaib Maqsood, DJ Bravo, Naved Yasin, KK Cooper, Zafar Gohar, Hammad Azam, Adnan Rasool, Umar Akmal, Yasir Shah, Mustafizur Rahman, Abdul Razzaq, Ehsan Adil, Imran Butt, Mukhtar Ahmed
