Latif Afridi, the former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was fatally shot six times in the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The senior attorney was transported to the Lady Reading Hospital of Peshawar; however, he was deceased upon arrival. The hospital management reported that Afridi was shot with six bullets.
According to the authorities, the perpetrator is currently in prison and is identified as Adnan.
The police are investigating how the gunman could enter the high court despite the security measures.
SSP Operations Kashif Abbasi stated that the assailant Adnan son of Abdul Sami Afrdid, has been apprehended; it appears to be a personal animosity between the two families.
