Actor Erin Robinson, a 19-year-old native of Grapevine, Texas, landed her biggest role yet in season 2 of Apple TV+ drama “Your Friends and Neighbours.”
Robinson said she began performing as a child through competitive dance before moving into commercials, print work and acting.
She attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas as a freshman. However, she left Texas a year later after getting the chance to move to Los Angeles.
Robinson said the Dallas school helped shape her decision because it showed her young artists willing to take risks.
After moving to the West Coast with her mother, Robinson earned her GED and focused on auditioning for acting roles.
She said the audition for “Your Friends and Neighbours” used a fake show name, so she did not know the project at first.

Robinson later received a callback and completed a chemistry read. After meeting a cast member, she said she realised which show she had auditioned for.
A few days later, the production told her to travel to New York, where the team planned to dye her hair and start work on the role.
