Some Eminem fans have criticised his planned “7 Sins” collaboration with Kid Rock. Their objections centre on Kid Rock’s political views and support for Donald Trump.
Musician Kid Rock shared the tracklist for his Christian album, “Halfway 2 Jesus”, on X on Thursday. It contains 17 songs. Eminem’s representative confirmed the track to Complex.
Online reactions included surprise at the pairing and disappointment over the artists’ political differences. One Reddit user claimed to have removed Eminem’s remaining songs from their playlist.
Eminem and Kid Rock’s musical relationship stretches back decades. Eminem appeared on Kid Rock’s “F–k Off” in 1998. Kid Rock later appeared in the video for Eminem’s 2013 single “Berzerk”.
In 2024, Kid Rock said, “I don’t agree with his politics.” He nevertheless praised Eminem and singer Taylor Swift for expressing their beliefs openly.
