Elon Musk welcomed Meta’s recent decision to conclude its third-party fact-checking program in the United States.

The announcement from Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, represents a significant reduction in its content moderation efforts.

On Tuesday, Musk took to his X platform to comment on the move by Meta’s CEO, fellow billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, stating, “This is cool.”

Elon’s endorsement came shortly after Meta revealed plans to dismantle its fact-checking initiative. Musk and the incoming Donald Trump administration had criticized it for allegedly infringing on free speech rights.
