E5 leaders will meet in Berlin on June 24 to discuss the Russia–Ukraine war, according to a press release cited in the report.
The meeting will bring together leaders from Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Poland.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will attend the talks in the German capital, the statement said. The discussions are expected to focus on coordinating support for Ukraine and on the wider European security policy.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will also take part. Starmer announced his resignation on June 22 but is expected to continue his duties until a successor is in place.

The E5 format was created in 2024 as European states sought stronger defence coordination. The group also aims to improve military and political support for Ukraine in its war against Russia.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz had earlier said the meeting would take place this week. At the time, Merz did not confirm a specific date.
