The police have submitted DSP Usman Haider’s challan to the Sessions Court in the alleged murder case of his wife and daughter. The document is 1,500 pages long and lists 71 witnesses.
The challan states that investigators believe Haider killed his wife and daughter on September 25, 2025. They allege he disposed of the bodies separately, leaving his daughter’s body in Kahna and his wife’s body near Kala Shah Kaku.
The challan also alleges that Haider tried to mislead the police by filing a kidnapping report himself and later taking part in a staged search. The case was first registered after the victim’s sister filed a complaint.

Police said Haider had earlier filed a First Information Report at Burki police station, claiming that someone had abducted his wife and daughter. However, investigators grew suspicious because he delayed reporting them missing.
Police sources said a Joint Investigation Team was formed due to the sensitive nature of the case. According to the challan, Haider allegedly confessed after his arrest and claimed he committed the killings for ‘honour.’
According to the report, police found one body in Kahna and the other in Sheikhupura. The Inspector General of Police, Punjab, later suspended Haider from the Kahna Police Investigation Wing.
