Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues its extraordinary box office run and shows no signs of slowing down as it heads toward the ₹600 crore milestone in India. With no major competing releases in its genre during the final week of December, the film remains firmly in control of theatres nationwide.
According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned ₹16.5 crore on Day 18 (December 22). This pushed its domestic net total to approximately ₹572.25 crore, placing it within striking distance of the ₹600 crore club.
The film is now set to surpass Chhaava, which currently stands at ₹601.54 crore in India. At its current pace, Dhurandhar is expected to overtake that figure in the coming days and secure the top domestic position of 2025.
The film has already entered the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time by domestic net collections. It overtook Animal, which earned ₹553 crore in India. It has also crossed the lifetime collections of Gadar 2 and Pathaan, achieving this feat without relying on dubbed versions.

Overseas markets have played a major role in the film’s historic run. While Chhaava earned around ₹91 crore internationally, Dhurandhar has already collected approximately ₹190 crore overseas. With strong contributions from international territories, the film’s worldwide gross now stands at about ₹876.50 crore. This figure firmly positions Dhurandhar as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 globally.

Although collections dipped slightly on the third Monday, trade analysts view the slowdown as marginal. With sustained footfall and strong word of mouth, the film remains on course to achieve further milestones. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar released on December 5 and stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
Buoyed by its massive success, the makers have confirmed a sequel, scheduled for release on March 19 next year. With its current trajectory, Dhurandhar has already secured its place as one of the most defining blockbusters in recent Indian cinema.
