The Democrats panel clean sweeped the annual elections of the Karachi Press Club for the year 2017.
According to results, The Democrats panel’s candidate for the position of President Siraj Ahmed secured 464 votes and won the election, while his rival candidate from The Journalist panel Abid Hussain received 225 votes.
While The Democrats panel’s candidate for the position of General Secretary, Maqsood Ahmed Yousufi got 497 votes and Vice President’s candidate from the same panel Syed Minhaj-ul-Rab received 425 votes.
Similarly, Moosa Kaleem won the election for the seat of Treasurer and Naimat Khan as Joint Secretary.
All seven candidates of The Democrats for the Governing Body also won the elections. (APP)
