The deadline for submitting Hajj 2025 applications is approaching, with the cutoff on Tuesday. So far, the government has received over 54,000 applications from those wishing to attend next year’s pilgrimage.
This year, the government has set aside 89,605 spots for pilgrims, and overseas Pakistanis are included through sponsorships.
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Religious Affairs noted that the regular quota is likely to be filled by today. An instalment payment option has boosted the number of applications compared to previous years.
After application processing is completed, the Hajj flight schedule will be set. Accommodations in Madinah will align with these schedules, and logistics such as housing, meals, transportation, and office setups will be organized in Saudi Arabia.
The government’s Hajj scheme selection draw is scheduled for December 6.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) also directed 15 banks to open this past weekend to help with Hajj application submissions. These banks operated from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday to meet the December 3 deadline.

This order came after the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony requested extended banking hours to facilitate the application process.
Pilgrims under the federal program will now pay Rs 220,000 for airfare, a decrease from last year’s Rs 234,000. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudi Airlines, and private carriers are participating in this price reduction.
