Former England captain David Beckham will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 12, days before the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins in North America.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the honour. The ceremony comes as the United States prepares to co-host the tournament with Canada and Mexico.
Beckham won six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United. He later won league titles with Real Madrid in Spain and Paris Saint-Germain in France.
The former midfielder earned 115 England caps from 1996 to 2009. He scored 17 goals and captained England 59 times.
Beckham represented England at three FIFA World Cups. He remains one of the country’s most recognisable football figures.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams and 1,248 players, making it the largest tournament in FIFA history.
