Customs Officials Killed in Late-Night Bannu Road Ambush

Three individuals, including two Customs officials, were killed in a late-night attack on Bannu Road, police report.

This event marks the second attack on Customs personnel in Dera Ismail Khan within a week.

During travel near Yarik Toll Plaza, assailants shot the Customs vehicle, resulting in the deaths of Inspector Husnain and Constable Ziad Khan.

An unidentified civilian was also among the fatalities. The attack left two additional Customs officials wounded.

Victims and injured parties were transported to D.I. Khan District Headquarters Hospital.

Governor Ghulam Ali, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi denounced the violence and extended condolences to the bereaved.

Minister Naqvi praised the fallen officials for their anti-smuggling efforts and promised decisive action against smuggling.
