A Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) official was shot dead in Bahawalpur.
According to initial report, unknown gunmen, on a motorcycle, targeted the CTD official when he was on his way to work. The security official was killed on the spot.
The shooters managed to escape after carrying out the crime.
Police arrived at the scene and surrounded the area following the shooting incident.
It is said that the slain CTD official had taken part in many operations against terrorists in the province. Authorities have said that the incident may have been carried out by terrorists.
