The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a targeted operation in the city’s Chaubara area and killed at least six alleged terrorists.
As per details, CTD Multan raided the Chaubara area in Layyah and were involved in an alleged battle with terrorists. In the exchange of fire, six suspected terrorists were killed by the CTD officials.
CTD sources also revealed that two pistols, two rifles and two hand grenades were confiscated from the slain terrorists. The militants’ bodies were transferred to a hospital for postmortem.
Authorities are waiting for the DNA results to identify the suspected militants. According to CTD, the killed terrorists belonged to a banned outfit.
