Cristiano Ronaldo’s Miami arrival drew attention Friday as Portugal arrived in the United States ahead of their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener against DR Congo.
Portugal will base their World Cup camp in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The team will start its Group K campaign in Houston on Wednesday, June 17.
Ronaldo arrived with his Portugal teammates in coordinated navy and grey travel outfits. The forward also wore glasses as cameras followed the squad’s arrival in the United States.
The tournament could mark Ronaldo’s final World Cup with Portugal. Pressure remains high on the Portugal captain as he continues his bid to win the only major international trophy missing from his career.

Portugal will face DR Congo in Houston before playing Uzbekistan at the same venue. The team will then travel to Miami for its final group match against Colombia.
