Coke Studio Season Seven on Saturday released four songs from its fifth episode on its social media accounts and website before taking a break in respect of Muharram. Coke Studio will recommence from Sunday, November 16, 2014.
The songs released included:
Abbas Ali Khan’s Mujhe Baar Baar from his 2014 album Tamam Alam Mast.
Jimmy Khan’s recreated Pehla Pyar, the first ever song written by him in Urdu.
With deep reflective lyrics, Mitti da Pehlwan by Jawad Ahmad had the buoyancy of a typical Punjabi folk song.
Khairiyan de Naal by Riaz Brothers narrated the woeful lore of Heer from Heer Ranjha,
