COAS, PM condole Abdus Sattar Edhi’s demise

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif expressed his deepest sorrow over sad demise of Abdul Sattar Edhi.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR),  the COAS in his condolence message said that country is deprived of a great human being.

He said that Abdul Sattar Edhi was a world renowned philanthropist, social activist and a true humanitarian.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the departed soul and give patience and strength to his family to bear this loss.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and regret at the passing of Abdul Sattar Edhi. 

PM Nawaz immediately after Mr Edhi passed away, in a message from London said that the Edhi was a true asset of the country and the world had been deprived from a person who had served humanity to the utmost.

PM Nawaz also expressed the hope that Allah may forgive Mr Edhi and ease his path to the Hereafter.
